West Salem Cottage Garden Tour | Garden of the Week | Granville Park Flower Beds
| RETURN TO WEST SALEM NEIGHBORHOOD SITE |

Est. July 2001

July, 2001, The West Salem Garden Club came to life, emerging much as the early buds of spring. It has grown as the result of a small group of neighbors who love gardening, love people, and love to share their ideas and knowledge of gardening.

The West Salem Garden Club holds a Cottage Garden Tour every other year (it was held every year for the first five years, then we changed to every other year) on the first Saturday in August. Each year beginning in May the Garden of the Week Program begins and continues through the end of August. The Garden of the Week program awards outstanding gardeners with a sign placed in their garden for one week at a time. That gardener then moves the sign to a new yard. The garden club plants flowers each year in Granville Park, using flowers donated by the Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful Program.

The West Salem Garden Club meets once a month - always the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM. Our meeting location varies, depending on what activity we have going on that month.
