Garden of the Week

Beginning in 2005, the West Salem Garden Club launched the Garden of the Week program to recognize the efforts of gardeners in our neighborhood. The first year, the sign was handmade, but the program was so well received, the garden club had a professionally made sign using a design created by Allegra Strohman of Mulberry Street. The garden club places the sign in the yard of a West Salem gardener the first Saturday in May. From there, each Saturday the recipient of the sign chooses the garden where the sign goes next. It’s great fun driving through the neighborhood on Sunday looking for the next Garden of the Week!
