NATIONAL NIGHT OUT - Tuesday, August 2, 2010, 6pm

August is National Night Out. Traditionally neighbors gather for an annual national event to show nationwide unity in support of a crime free community. This important event will be held at Franklin and Green in the Piedmont Baptist College lot. There will be games for the kids, free hotdogs, well as the annual Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest. The West Salem Civivc Club, West Salem Neighborhood Watch, and West Salem Neighborhood Association sponsor this event. Come on out and show your unity in the fight against crime!!

Music in the Park ~ Sunday August 15 ~ 6pm - 8pm August MIP features Caleb Caudle and the Bayonets So pack up your picnic suppers and bring your blankets and lawn chairs and come on out to Granville Park to join your neighbors for a fun night of music! Bring your picnic baskets and your blankets and lawn chairs and come on out to Granville Park the third Sunday in the month. Each month there will be different entertainment - so be prepared for some great entertainment!
