Stone
Soup? What is Stone Soup you say? Well, among other things, Stone
Soup is neighbors coming together to build bonds. And on April 12,
2003, West Salem neighbors drew from their pantrys and fridges,
and came to Granville park to add their veggies and meats to a huge
stock pot, with a lone stone at the bottom, until before you knew
it, a pot of delicious soup was bubbling and laughter filled the
air. One more reason West Salem is the best neighborhood in the
city! Read the "Stone Soup Story."

The

Even the Stone had a story.
It
came from the garden of neighbor
Marilyn Clemmons who lives on Poplar Street
in one of the older homes in the neighborhood.
