| WEST SALEM, the most up and coming neighborhood in Winston-Salem, is truly one of the only "downtown neighborhoods" in our city! In West Salem you will not only find friendly welcoming neighbors, but also an historical housing stock that will rival any neighborhood in the city. And, on January 19, 2005, West Salem was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. We want this site to become a useful place for you to learn about our neighborhood and what we are doing to make this a better place to live, work, and play. Everyone plays a part! Join us!
